The security we once found in Jesus Christ, or whatever god-like figure your country has, we now get it from our carefully curated feeds, from the validation of strangers, from the illusion of connection.
The techno-caste knows this. Profits from it. Profits from our lack of interest in faith. So, it creates one for us. And we gladly accept. A ludicrous business model. Before, we went to church in the mornings. Now, we just pick up our phones instead.
Choice is an illusion, created between those with power and those without.
This quote taken out from the Matrix, got me thinking. It’s not easy to step out of sync with the world around us, to break free and truly become ourselves. Sure, you could do an Into the Wild and disappear.
But at the end, most of us are stuck here, in the system, for one reason or another. Influenced by digital archetypes, inherited beliefs, and stories, whether we know it or not.
Even if we say we don’t believe in anything, we’re still bound by something. We’re all carrying some kind of unconscious faith, guiding our decisions and actions.
The Algorithm as Our New Faith
Whenever (a hu-)man ceases to rely on the spirit of God, an unconscious substitute appears. Carl G. Jung
Algorithms have become our new scripture. We confess our fears, dreams, desires, and sins not in prayers, but in status updates & trends.
Look, like most kids, I was afraid of the dark. I still remember praying Our Father every night because I believed, it would protect me from the evil hidden in the darkest corners of my room, it was the only possible way to fall asleep… If I had a phone back then, do you think I’d still pray? or would I just stare at the screen to avoid the darkness outside?
Your algorithm is your faith. It is your identity. Your protector. It is what you believe you love and like, your most intimate dreams and aspirations. Compressed into a few lines of code. Incredible, right?
We’ve all seen those notes on Substack that go something like;
“Dear substack algorithm please connect me with…. x,y,z”
You can easily replace “substack algorithm” with “God”. And the sentence will still be sound.
Why trust an algorithm to do Gods work?
And why keep feeding the wealth that’s being created in the hands of a few because we are afraid to face the darkest corners of our own inner rooms?
Arghhhhhhh!
Once, some person wrote a book or carved some rules into stone, and they were fixed. Open to the interpretation of the reader.
But today? Our XXI representation collective is the scariest history has ever seen.
Unlike the past, when beliefs were set in stone, now they mutate, like a virus adapting to new hosts and trends. These rules are diffuse, unwritten, yet they stick to you like leeches, bleeding you out until your last conscious thought is empty.
Numbed, they say.
Ruled by the wealthiest men history has ever known. Future generations will call them GODS.
Tech Emperors
Everything can be said, unsaid, and re-said again, and people will believe it. Hate spreads like legionella in a warm, 36-degree pool of stagnation. The GODS of CODE have found the recipe to make it happen. The perfect environment to breed their sick experiments.
Just like Cell from Dragon Ball, their only programming; whether by society, profit, or whatever the fuck controls their decision making is to watch us suffer. They want to control the universe just to make it bleed, to witness the face of fear and masturbate to it, because they are sick cunts.
Now, you can be a Son Goku or a Yajirobe.
For those unfamiliar with Dragon Ball, let me explain.
Goku never gives up. He fights. Not just because he’s strong, but because he chooses to. He stands against impossible odds, gets knocked down, bleeds, dies even, and still returns to fight. But most importantly:
His AGENCY is ABSOLUTE. There is no other like him because he chooses to be him. Every fucking day.
Yajirobe? A capable warrior, but a coward. He runs, hides, makes excuses. He has strength but no will, potential but no courage. He only acts when forced, and even then, he complains.
The Battleground
Who are you in this battle for agency? Do you keep scrolling, letting the algorithms shape your beliefs, your fears, your desires & being manipulated by the wealthiest men in history? Do you convince yourself that resistance is futile? Or that you’re just one person in a world too vast to change? Do you surrender, like Yajirobe, waiting for someone else to handle the fight?
Because let me tell you, the enemy is invisible! Literally shifting, all-powerful, and almighty.
It is everywhere and anywhere at the same time.
No one really knows who controls it, or why it does what it does.
Sure, an algorithm follows certain rules, but these rules have evolved so much that even those who created them may no longer understand their full consequences. And if they do, they really don’t care about your mental health.
Modern-Day Priests
Instead of Gods on Mount Olympus, we have tech emperors shaping reality.
Instead of sacred texts, we have engagement-driven content streams.
And instead of spiritual transcendence, we chase validation through likes and shares.
Algorithms are no longer just lines of code executing simple tasks. They learn, adapt, reinforce biases, and shape behaviour in ways even their creators struggle to predict. Machine learning models, trained on vast datasets, are optimize for engagement, regardless of whether that means feeding people rage, misinformation, or despair. These systems are self-perpetuating, adjusting to keep users scrolling, consuming, obeying. The more we engage, the stronger they become, feeding on our interactions like parasites.
The techno-caste acts as a modern-day priesthood, shaping belief systems through a continuous stream of data-driven narratives.
And the algorithm is a liquid archetype, one that constantly reconfigures itself to keep us within its grasp.
You are not just consuming content. You are being consumed by a new techno-mythos. And the more unconscious you are of this, the more deeply you remain its subject.
So why continue giving your time, your soul, to feed the machine that fuels it all?
Because that’s the real fight. And it’s happening right now, with every click, every swipe, every decision…
to consume or to create,
to surrender or to rebel.
Be a Son Goku,
Be an Artist,
Be a Fighter,
Be a Lover,
Be a Writer,
Un abrazo,
