This is so true. Everyone at their core wants attention. We can't have community without it. It's a good idea for all of us to assess what and who we're giving our attention to and why. From there, we can be more intentional in our expression in our creative pursuits and relationships!
Exactly Jordan! It should be a priority for all of us to assess where our attention is going to to live a more intentional and fulfilled life. Thank you for sharing your thoughts. Have a good day!
A quote that has often found it's way back to me since I first read it at the tender age of 17 or 18...or 19.
We are social creatures by nature, we need human interaction to survive. Even when we feel like disappearing into the solitude and silence of nature, our innate yearning for connection will undoubtedly tug us back to society in some shape or form.
Yes, human connection is so important. Community is vital to living and thriving, I’m learning. Thinking of a way how my family and I can create a community garden in our neighborhood to bring people together. Enjoyed reading this!
Hey Lindsey! Indeed, we thrive when surrounded by the right people. Maybe hit up your local school or library, they might have a bit of land to make a garden. Last time I was involved in one, the land was in a social community centre where the council run events :)
Thank you Taylor. You know it's a good book when you can't stop highlighting everything! Enjoy the Way :) I loved it.

So simple yet so true! We need the heat of other humans, a simple hug can go a long way and a smile can travel for a while!
Love this, was what I needed to read with my bitter coffee this morning
Glad you enjoyed! :)
I am that hugger! I am also an ambassador to creativity like you. Your writing is a welcome space for me to say me too!
Thank you Shalagh!:)
I loved this piece. So nuanced. I am working through The Artists Way right now, and enjoyed the quote you added!
