I absolutely agree, because too often we see travelling glamourised and romanticised, when in reality the true "traveller" is seeking as well as experiencing something quite different.
I think we would get along quite well! There is such a layer, a foggy blanket on top, powered by glamourous social media posts that is hard to feel this true experience when travelling.
Right?! Social media has completely distorted what the true essence of travelling is about. Well, at least in my opinion. Where are the Kerouac's and the Walden's who share the philosophy behind the original desire to "hit the road"?
Very rare indeed, at least in the digital space. Which, I suppose makes sense, since the majority of them have probably denounced technology all together. Haha. In all honesty I feel I'm getting pretty close to doing so again as well.
what a delight it was to read this. so many lines worth quoting, this one stood out to me: "We chase distance, countries, conversations, hoping it will deliver change, but only magnifies what’s been left unresolved."💛 el cambio está en ti mismo, no en el sitio donde vives o en una adventura.
Just read the poem and indeed can see a resemblance! Didn't knew the author before, thanks for sharing! ✨
I cannot even begin to explain how close to "home" this hit. Feels as if I was reading about my own life.
So many of us feel the same away, it is about time we say something and spread how we are feeling.

Exactly! They might be somewhere around. But definitely a rare breed these days of digital overlords!
"Digital overlords" hahahaha, I love that!

This reminds me of Baudelaire’s “invitation to travel”
Hoping to pause long enough to face the quiet this year.
Scary might be, but refreshing it is! 🩵

Wow,your words went directly to my heart.
Thank you!You have a gift.
Wow. Penetrating, expansive, revealing. Stimulates the impulse for inquiry…the desire to “see” that which is there to be seen.
Beautiful
